Usually, we integrate technologies using wireless components from Texas Instruments (TI). One of the largest semiconductor suppliers in the world, TI is a reliable source for basic elements because it is not likely to be purchased by another company or discontinue important products. This allows our customers to avoid scrambling to replace critical components after they are discontinued and ensures that an alternative to any discontinued products will be provided by TI to avoid obsolescence.
With TI's assortment of products, the mechanisms for connecting systems to mobile devices are endless. For BTLE, Thread, 6LoWPAN, ZigBee, other sub-1GHz, and WiFi integrations, we use modules based on the TI wireless family. The TI IDE - Code Composer Studio provides a very portable solution for designs that may change collaborators. This is important to support firmware after the initial designers are long gone. TI also offers a variety of devices to complement our designs, such as power products, precision SAR ADCs, and many types of amplifiers.
